J.E. Panther Creek State Fish & Wildlife Area

Panther Creek SFWA is located in Cass County, immediately west of Menard County. At 16,550 acres, Panther Creek SFWA is one of Illinois’ largest public access areas. Its varied habitat, from grassland to forest, is home to a rich assortment of wildlife. Recreational opportunities include hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, fishing and hunting.
